Certified Flagging Course

Lord and Associates offers certification classes at our location every other Saturday. Other times and dates are available upon request. This is a 4-hour class that requires you to take an open book test. You must receive an 80% score to receive your certification card. If you need special accommodations to take the written test, please inform the instructor prior to class.
When taking the Traffic Control Flagger Certification course you will learn the essential visual flagging signals, appropriate two-way radio usage, as well as what signs to use and how to set them according to ODOT’s Oregon Temporary Traffic Control Handbook (OTTCH) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD) regulations. By creating a safe worksite and safe flow of traffic, you minimize liability and road user inconvenience.
By successfully participating in this flagging training course, you will receive a Traffic Control Flagger Certification card valid in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
